How to Increase Engagement on Social Media from your Ideal Clients
Are you struggling to connect with your ideal customers on Instagram or LinkedIn? If so, you're not alone. Many businesses find it difficult to attract and engage with the right audience online. But don't worry, we've got a mini-targeting strategy that can help.
Read below to see how to nurture ideal customers through your socials and seal the deal…
Well, here’s a Mini Targeting Strategy that we use for not just ourselves, but our clients too!
Mini Strategy You can implement, yesterday.
Add a section to your Annual Marketing Plan for Client Engagement Themes.
Plan out Monthy, Bi-Monthly or Quarterly Themes based on a specific client avatar you’d like to focus on (we tend to work with Industry as the theme as it makes it easier to curate our social content alongside it!)
Map out who they are, what industry they are in, what professional interests they might have and the location they are based in.
Do an Instagram/LinkedIn search and identify businesses/ professionals that fall into that Avatar persona.
Add the accounts to a spreadsheet, and start engaging with them.
Like 2-5 of their recent posts that you genuinely thought were great.
Check their account atleast once a week and like 1x post
Comment on their posts or stories (only with genuine comments)
Do this for a 1-2 month period, and beyond if they are responding and engaging back.
Have fun with it, be yourself, share value, and genuinely support them!
By this point, they are now a fan, so add them to your general engagement strategy.
Repeat for each new Theme/Avatar.
Embrace the Instagram growth and leads coming your way!
Naturally, if they are interested they will enquire with you, sometimes it takes only a week or two, sometimes it takes months, or even a year. But I guarantee it will be worth it! At the very least you get an engaged fan, a great referrer and a new virtual relationship that will only benefit you in the long run.
What do you think about this? Too hard? Looks like a lot of work? Love it? Blown away by it? Want more tips?
